General Discussion / Do you have to have a smart TV to use Netflix?
« Last post by sarasmithus on November 13, 2018, 12:34:49 PM »
You do not need a smart TV to get streaming Netflix movies or YouTube videos on your screen. Many streaming sticks and set-top boxes can stream those services and more to an HDTV. The leading models are from Amazon, Apple, Google and Roku.

General Discussion / Is HBO Go Free with subscription?
« Last post by sarasmithus on November 05, 2018, 11:18:18 AM »
HBO Now costs a flat rate of $15 per month. It's a stand-alone package, which means it doesn't require a cable subscription to use. HBO Go, on the other hand, is free with an HBO subscription — but that's the only way to access it.

General Discussion / How long do downloads on Netflix last?
« Last post by sarasmithus on November 03, 2018, 08:27:15 AM »
Each Netflix download has a different expiration time. Movies and TV shows that expire from your device in less than 7 days will display how much time is left in the “My Downloads” section of the Netflix app. For some movies and shows, offline viewing must be completed within 48 hours of the moment you press play.

The free Basic service plan supports five cameras. However, if you purchase one of the following kits, the service plan supports six cameras: Arlo HD Security System with four Arlo Wire-Free and two Arlo Q cameras (VMK3500)

Agency Fees / Can I use hotspot for chromecast?
« Last post by veronicamurray on November 03, 2018, 05:50:07 AM »
f Connectify Hotspot is used to share a Wi-Fi network which runs on 5 GHz, then Hotspot shifts to 5 GHz itself. The Hotspot user interface will show a warning, and the Chromecast will not be able to find the network. In all other cases, however, Hotspot will use 2.4 GHz and will work perfectly with the Chromecast.

General Discussion / How Will Roku Support Help Fixing Roku Error Code 003?
« Last post by shirleymassy on November 02, 2018, 07:55:14 AM »
1. Check if the internet is working properly or not, and if it is not, then fix the internet issue.
2. Confirm the username and password you entered is correct. Wireless network's name is 'SSID' and password is either 'WEP' or 'WPA'.
3. Keep the router and Roku within close proximity of one another. There should be a clear line of sight for the Internet to the Roku device.
4. Restart your Roku device by going to 'settings', then 'system', and finally, 'System Restart'. If you are using Roku TV, then go to 'Settings', 'Power' and then, 'System Restart'.
5. Now, restart your router.
6. If you have an Ethernet cable, then connect your Roku to the modem through that.
7. If you are connecting your Roku device to the internet network for the first time, then you want to properly follow the network set up process.
